Tuition and Costs
The estimated total costs for the Two-Year and MMM program for 2008-2009 academic year, including tuition, books and materials, loan fees, computer equipment and living expenses is:
• $72,539 for U.S. citizen and Permanent Resident students
• $73,517 for International students
• Tuition is $46,791 for all Two-Year and MMM students.
The estimated total costs for the One-Year program 2008-2009 academic year, including tuition, books and materials, loan fees, computer equipment and living expenses is:
• $95,480 for U.S. citizen and Permanent Resident students
• $95,672 for International students
• Tuition is $62,388 for all 1Y students.

Kellogg is committed to enrolling the best qualified students, regardless of ability to pay. The school awards institutional grants and corporate-sponsored scholarship assistance in addition to long-term, low-interest loans. Kellogg students may finance 100 percent of their calculated financial need. 67% of the Kellogg School’s student body receives financial aid. Scholarships
F.C. Austin Scholarships The prestigious F.C. Austin scholarship is awarded to 20 outstanding men and women admitted to the Two-Year and MMM programs who are preparing for careers in management.Recipients are selected on the basis of academic excellence, demonstrated leadership and community service.

The Peter L. Frechette Scholarship provides the total tuition for each academic year to an exceptional entering student in the Two-Year MBA Program, based on merit.

The David F. and Margaret T. Grohne Family Foundation Scholarship provides the total tuition for each academic year to an entering student in the Two-Year MBA and MMM Programs, based on merit. Preference is given to an incoming student who is a U.S. citizen by birth, has completed a non-business major at an undergraduate institution, and who has demonstrated leadership potential and scholastic achievement.

The Jacobs International Scholarships, established by the Dean Emeritus of the Kellogg School, are awarded each year to outstanding international students admitted to the 2Y and MMM Programs. The recipients of the scholarships are awarded $15,000 for each academic year. All admitted international applicants are considered for this merit-based scholarship during the admissions cycle.

The Forté Foundation and Kellogg offer scholarship opportunities to women who are pursuing full-time MBA studies at Kellogg. The Admissions Committee considers exceptional women, who have been admitted to Kellogg, for the Forté Foundation scholarship. The Kellogg Forté scholarship amount is $20,000 per academic year. The Kenneth J. LeStrange, Sr., Scholarship was established to provide financial support for an outstanding incoming student pursuing full-time MBA studies at Kellogg. The recipient of this merit-based scholarship is awarded approximately half of the current Kellogg tuition amount for each academic year. No additional application is required.

Funded by ArcelorMittal, the ArcelorMittal Scholars Program fosters education in the area of global leadership and management in emerging markets. These scholarships are primarily merit-based awards for incoming students in the full-time

Facts and Trivia

  • Kellogg recommends that candidates have at least two years of full-time work experience to be able to participate fully in classroom discussions and group projects.
  • Although Kellogg makes every attempt to interview all applicants, heavy demand in certain locations may require that the school waives the interview so as not to delay the review of the application. Candidates whose interviews are waived are not at a disadvantage. If the school feels an interview would be helpful in further assessing a candidate or would aid in rendering a decision, the Admission Office contacts the applicant to schedule a telephone interview.
  • Only electronic applications are accepted.
  • Kellogg recommends that candidates apply in one of the first two rounds. The school focuses on the highest GMAT score from a given test date
  • You can reapply to Kellogg. The school looks favorably upon candidates that continue to feel that the MBA is the right degree and that Kellogg is the right school.
  • Kellogg recognize that 3-year undergraduate programs.
  • There are approximately 80 student clubs that foster a sense of community and allow students to develop their leadership skills. Each year, students work closely with faculty to organize and host more than a dozen professional conferences, typically held in the winter and spring quarters. Kellogg conferences bring business leaders from all over the world to the campus.
  • Approximately 25 percent of all Kellogg students live in the McManus Living-Learning Center, an apartment complex for Kellogg students and their families. Located approximately three blocks from the Kellogg School, McManus offers several sizes and styles of apartments and is equipped with study rooms, a computer lab, exercise facilities, an underground parking garage and other amenities. The remaining 75 percent of Kellogg students choose to live off-campus in Evanston or nearby Chicago.
  • There are no guaranteed loans irrespective of nationality but Northwestern Loan Program is a popular option for Kellogg’s international students. In addition, school encourages all its students to look beyond the avenues they offer to external scholarship opportunities.
  • Although Kellog has made its strong reputation as a school for Marketing but the various other specializations offered by the school cannot be overlooked.
  • Proficiency in English is required for admission.
  • Academic session begins in September, students complete an internship the following summer then graduate the next June, in a total of six academic quarters of classes.
  • Nearly half of Kellogg students are accompanied by a spouse or partner, making Joint Ventures, a networking group for partners, an important part of life at Kellogg. Kellogg Kids, a related group, offers family activities throughout the year.
  • The school offers more than 200 elective courses, allowing students to customize a program for detailed exploration of business industries and functions.
  • The Kellogg School’s full-time MBA program occupies a six-story complex on Northwestern University’s Evanston campus. The Donald P. Jacobs Center is equipped with 17 classrooms, more than 50 group study rooms, conference rooms, quiet study areas and a student lounge. It is also home to the school’s administrative and faculty offices. The focal point of the building is the glass-topped Joseph and Carole Levy Atrium, where students gather to study, eat lunch and socialize.
  • Business With a Heart is the umbrella group for Kellogg student charitable work. Each year, dedicated members coordinate food, clothing and toy drives; tutoring; community service days; safe trick-or-treating for local children; and the popular Charity Auction and Ball. The group raises as much as $150,000 per year for charitable organizations.
  • The Kellogg Student Association coordinates participation in a number of intramural sports, including basketball, floor hockey, broomball, volleyball, indoor soccer and softball. Kellogg School teams compete against other MBA programs in soccer, rugby and ice hockey. Northwestern University also offers sports leagues that compete at the club level.
